There are several ways for you to contribute to Akshaya Patra. You can make a simple monetary donation or sponsor infrastructure, commemorate an occasion, or honour a loved one and all of this through various easy-to-use payment methods.

Vehicle Donation

The Akshaya Patra Blue Buses carry the tasty, nutritious mid-day meals to over 1.6 million children across India every day. These buses are a symbol of hope for students, parents and teachers alike. The buses are specially modified with a honeycomb structure to keep the vessels stable till they arrive at the schools, and are also thermally insulated to keep the food hot.

All the vehicles that are donated will bear the name or company logo of the benefactor for as long as it is in use. If you would like to go for this option, Please visit donate a vehicle.

Sponsor Kitchen Equipment

Akshaya Patra runs 27 kitchens across India, 25 of which are centralised. Centralised kitchens have massive infrastructural requirements which allow them to cook food for about 100,000 children every morning. These kitchens rely heavily on state-of-the-art equipment, and a wide range of vessels and other components ,while two locations operate on a decentralised model.

In order for Akshaya Patra to provide the mid-day meal in other parts of the country the Foundation needs to invest in more kitchen equipment. All the kitchen equipment donated for use in the kitchens bear the name or company logo of the benefactor. If you would like to go for this option, Please visit  Sponsor kitchen equipment.

Sponsor A School For A Year

Akshaya Patra provides mid-day meals to 13,577 Government and Government-aided schools across India. In order to fulfill the organisation’s mission of feeding 5 million children by 2020, Akshaya Patra needs to reach out to thousands of schools. Although you have an option to sponsor a child, you can get your network together and sponsor an entire school instead. Please visit Sponsor a School for a Year.
